WhatsApp Introduces Messenger-Style Chat Themes on Android After iOS
Karnataka News
WhatsApp is rolling out a new feature for the Android beta version that allows users to customize chat-specific themes. Previously, WhatsApp only offered limited theming options, primarily allowing users to change the background wallpaper of individual chats. The new interface introduces more customization options, similar to what Facebook Messenger has provided for a while.
It’s worth noting that this theme interface is currently available only in the beta version of WhatsApp for Android. WABetaInfo has shared screenshots showcasing the updated theme selection interface, which looks quite different from the existing one on Android devices.
WhatsApp Introduces Personalized Chat Colors and Themes
WhatsApp is introducing a new update that will allow users to choose from 20 chat colors and up to 22 textured chat themes. These themes will feature preset colors for chat bubbles, differentiating between the sender and receiver, adding a new level of personalization. Unlike the current options, these themes will be specific to each chat, enabling users to set a unique theme for every conversation, similar to changing wallpapers.
This feature was recently spotted in the beta version of WhatsApp for iOS, and both versions of the app will offer the same functionality. Since it appeared first on iOS, it’s likely to be released there before becoming available on Android.
Additionally, it has been revealed that Google’s Gemini virtual assistant on Android will soon be able to send messages using voice commands. This capability is currently offered through Google Assistant, which is being gradually replaced by Gemini. Like the chat-specific theming, Gemini integration is still in testing.

JioFinance App Features
The JioFinance app is available for download on the Google Play Store for Android devices and the App Store for iOS devices. Users can also access it through the MyJio platform.
With JioFinance, users can make UPI payments by linking their bank accounts and scanning QR codes at physical stores. The app enables online payments and allows users to send money to others as well. Additionally, the UPI International feature supports cross-border payments. Users can manage various settings within the app, such as removing UPI IDs, changing bank accounts, and setting up mandates. Plus, rewards are offered for every UPI transaction made through the app, adding extra benefits for users.
The JioFinance app aims to simplify the banking experience by allowing users to open zero-balance savings accounts in just three easy steps. Once the account is established, customers can send and receive funds using NEFT or IMPS, and they will also receive a physical debit card for added convenience.
In addition to banking services, JioFinance includes features commonly found in other payment apps, such as utility bill payments, mobile recharges, FASTag top-ups, DTH recharges, and credit card payments. The app also offers a unique loan-on-chat feature, enabling users to apply for various loans, including personal loans, mutual funds, property loans, and home loans. Users only need to pay interest on the amount they utilize, rather than on the total loan amount, making it a flexible option for borrowers. This loan facility is accessible to both salaried individuals and customers from micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs).
Moreover, the app provides an insurance feature, allowing users to explore and purchase life, health, two-wheeler, and motor insurance plans directly within JioFinance. This comprehensive range of services positions JioFinance as a one-stop solution for users looking to manage their finances efficiently.
